Children’s Safety

Your children’s safety is our top priority.  To make sure your child is in a safe and secure environment,  each program is directed and staffed by a staff member, our Christian education team, and volunteers. To further ensure the safety of your child(ren), all those who supervise children in any capacity are subject to a background check, are mandatory reporters, and are thoroughly trained in our safe sanctuary policy to ensure the safety of all the children. There is also a policy to follow for our nursery staff when changing diapers and other such instances and your voice and preferences are always heard and respected.  Click here to view a complete version of our Safe Sanctuary Policy (Safe Sanctuary Approved Policy.

Sunday School

Are you eager to have your child(ren) explore and learn about God through activity, story and science? Our children enjoy a session while worship is occurring in a way that is interactive and helps them learn and engage in what it means to have a relationship with God. Everyone is welcome to attend around 10:00 am. and discover and explore what they know and believe. Children are encouraged to ask questions and explore what they know and wish to know. Join our community of families to continue to growing our knowledge, curiosity, and faith. Sundays at 10:15 a.m. for all children: K-5. Nursery is available for 0-5 year old children.

Vacation Bible School

Does your child enjoy singing, dancing, doing crafts, engaging in science and hearing stories while enjoying a snack? Is your child looking for a week-long camp to engage in a theme that showcases being good stewards?  Every summer for a week we choose a curriculum that engages children in creative and inspiring ways. This program is for all community members who are 4 years old to outgoing 5th graders. For several hours a day we hold sessions where the children explore God in various ways. You are all welcome to join us, at a low cost, and scholarships are also available! No one will be turned away if spots are available. Recently, Vacation Bible School has been scheduled Wednesday evenings during the month of August.  Contact the office or check out newsletter for more details.

Family Discovery / Parenting Classes

Are you a parent or guardian of a child? We know that parenting can be hard, so we want to provide for you a  space to talk with other parents about some of the struggles you are facing and learn new skills and techniques to help you as you teach, guide, and enjoy your children.  In partnership with the Marion & Polk Early Learning Hub, Inc., we have various parenting curricula and parent support opportunities available year-round. We provide the space and opportunity for parents to come together to discuss issues and gain knowledge, skills, and techniques to use when parenting.  All types of families are welcome to join.  We are currently hosting these on Zoom

All are welcome to join us at no cost; these events are FREE. Thursdays, 8 p.m. –10 p.m., due to COVID precautions. We do hope to get back to our previous in person schedule and to provide a hybrid version which starts with a meal and, while the parents engage in discussion on a topic such as self-care and communication, the children engage in various
activities with similar topics. All are welcome to join us at no cost; these events are FREE. Thursdays, 5:30 p.m. – dinner, 6 p.m.-8 p.m. – discussion.
