This is about our church.
Reconciling Ministries Network
Morningside United Methodist Church is a congregation who believes God’s love and grace extends to all. We welcome everyone into our church family and affirm this commitment as a member of the Reconciling Ministries Network of the greater United Methodist church.
This is the mission of the Reconciling Ministries Network:
“Living into our shared baptismal covenant, Reconciling Ministries Network equips and mobilizes United Methodists to resist evil, injustice, and oppression as we seek justice for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.”
We are truly an inclusive congregation and happy to welcome into full membership any person with a desire to be part of our faith community.
Morningside UMC is proud to be connected to many other organizations which help provide an even more well-rounded and diverse experience for our members. Here are a few:
Realizing we can do far more together than we can as an individual congregation, Morningside (along with the other United Methodist Churches in the Salem/Keizer area) have formed a unique alliance known as Open Door Churches. Our Open Door Churches share pastoral resources, sponsor volunteer work days together, host Vacation Bible Schools, worship together on special occasions, sponsor joint youth and young adult groups, hold discipleship classes open to all, and much more.
